Experience

Prior to joining Lincoln Harris in 2009, Mr. Mark was the co-founder and partner of the commercial real estate firm, MarkPiercePoole Properties. His company, founded in 1999, focused on the development of single tenant retail buildings, neighborhood shopping centers, office, industrial, and medical buildings in the Carolinas. Additionally, Mr. Mark provided consulting, land acquisition, brokerage, leasing and property management services for various clients.

Prior to co-founding MarkPiercePoole Properties, Mr. Mark was a partner at Childress Klein Properties from 1988 to 1997, and a marketing principal and leasing agent at Trammell Crow Company from 1985 to 1988.

Throughout the course of his real estate career, Mr. Mark was responsible for the development of nearly two million square feet of retail property. He has extensive retail and mixed use development experience as an owner and project manager.

Mr. Mark was awarded 1st place by the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors as the Top Producing Land Broker for 2011.


Education and Affiliations

An ACC Honor Roll graduate of the University of Virginia, Mr. Mark earned his Master of Business Administration degree at the Tulane University School of Business. Currently, Mr. Mark serves on the Board of Trustees at Woodberry Forest School. He is a trustee for the T. Rodney Crowley Scholarship at the University of Virginia, a founding board member of the Park Sterling Bank, and served on the boards of Charlotte Latin School, Charlotte Speech and Hearing Board, St. Francis Jobs Program, UNCC Athletic Foundation and was the Executive Director of the Charlotte AAU Junior Olympics. Mr. Mark also served as Executive Director of the Charlotte Regional Sports Commission from 1997 to 1999.

He was named a Top Retail Producer by the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of REALTORS® (CRCBR), and is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute.
