Position Description:
Develop and implement a research platform for the Charlotte and Raleigh office and industrial markets; partner with employees and clients in these markets to complement and enhance their business needs.

Build and enhance overall research product standards and quality control

Develop and promote best practice standards for the firm

Develop ongoing strategy and business development for the firm

Interface with internal and external clients as well as regional media on market conditions, economic conditions, forecasts, and general market observations and analysis

Work with account, brokerage, and business development teams in contributing to and enhancing RFP’s, presentations, and new business pitches

Participate in new business pitches and market presentations

Develop relationships with counterparts at other commercial real estate firms in order to continually enhance knowledge and intelligence of market trends

Create and maintain vendor and product relationships

Learn, support, and enhance market statistics methodology

Update and maintain database of historical market statistics

Assist in quarterly market statistics process involving collecting, verifying, and finalizing data for market reports

Create, write, analyze, and edit quarterly Office and Industrial Reports for major markets and the various submarkets that comprise these markets

Develop white paper reports on key trends/issues affecting the markets, economy, and region

Continually maintain lease comparable, sales comparable, and land sale comparable databases

Continually track and analyze the pipeline of new office and industrial developments

Continue to learn and enhance market knowledge of the local office and industrial markets, regional economy, and national economy

Create economic reports on the local and regional economies with respect to employment statistics, population growth, and other metrics that affect the local economy and office/industrial markets

Respond to all internal and external client requests for data and information in a timely and accurate manner

Handle other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

Real estate research experience and database familiarity required

Working knowledge of Microsoft Access and Adobe In Design preferred

Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and CoStar

Strong verbal and written communication, as well as editing, skills a must

Ability to plan, organize, and efficiently manage time and tasks

Accuracy and superb attention to detail

Analytical/problem solving ability a must
