  • Splurge of Raleigh, a first class gift and home décor shop, signed a new 1,200-square-foot lease at Creedmoor Village Shopping Center, located at 1428 Brogden Woods Drive in Wake Forest. John Mikels represented the landlord, Harris Teeter, in the transaction.  
  • Allied Electronics, a distributor of industrial automation and control products, renewed their 2,063-square-foot lease at Interchange II, located at 801 Jones Franklin Road in Raleigh. Kaler Walker and Mikels represented the landlord, TNREF III West Raleigh, LLC, in the transaction.  
  • Crossroads Business Center, offering executive suites and rentals, signed an 8,614-square-foot lease renewal at 5540 Centerview Drive, located in Raleigh. Walker and Mikels represented the landlord, TNREF III West Raleigh, LLC, in the transaction.
  • Burn Boot Camp, a new rapidly growing, fitness facility for mothers and women, signed a 3,600-square-foot lease at Village Center Shoppes, located at 130 W. Holly Springs Road in Holly Springs. Mikels represented the landlord, Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada, in the transaction, and Jon Bradley and Beverly Keith of Avison Young represented the tenant.
  • Educational Data Systems, Inc. (EDSI), a national workforce development, customized training, and consulting company, signed a 3,000-square-foot lease at Tillery Place, located at 1639 Old Louisburg Road in Raleigh. Jake Plotkin of NAI Carolantic represented the landlord, Paul Tillery Commercial Rentals, in the transaction and Walker represented the tenant.
 

Lincoln Harris Brings Life Time Fitness To Rea Farms Development

Life Time Fitness Inc., a Minnesota-based health and lifestyle company operating 119 centers across the United States and Canada, has plans to open at the Rea Farms development in southeast Charlotte on Providence Road and Ardrey Kell Road.  Betsy McIntyre of Lincoln Harris’ Charlotte office represented the landlord, Rea Farms Development LLC, while Dave Oster, Life Time director of real estate and development, represented Life Time in the transaction.

Life Time, acquired a 24-acre site within the master planned Rea Farms development and will offer a health and fitness experience unique to the area including an indoor/outdoor aquatic center, an indoor/outdoor tennis complex and walking trails, as well as a full service salon and spa and a healthy café.  Life Time expects completion of the Rea Farms destination in Spring of 2017.

Lincoln Derr Leases 3,782 SF at Capitol Towers in Charlotte, NC

  Lincoln Harris has arranged a 3,782-square-foot lease for Lincoln Derr at Capitol Towers, located in Charlotte. Campbell Walker of Lincoln Harris represented the landlord, Capitol Towers LLC, in the transaction. Ken Orndorff of Raley Miller Properties represented the tenant.

Lincoln Harris Brokers Five Leases at The Arboretum at Weston

Lincoln Harris’ Raleigh office recently brokered five leases totaling nearly 14,000 square feet at the Arboretum at Weston, a mixed-use development at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Weston Parkway featuring 80,000 square feet of retail space. Kaler Walker and John Mikels of Lincoln Harris represented the landlord, The Aboretum at Weston Holdings LLC, on the following transactions:

- M/I Homes signed a short-term lease for 4,739 square feet. The homebuilding company is leasing the space for a sales center to support two nearby residential developments, Creeks at Weston and Harrison Bluffs.

- Moe’s Southwest Grill renewed its lease for 3,812 square feet. The popular fast-casual restaurant, which serves made-to-order Southwest fare, has been a tenant at The Arboretum for five years.

- GolfTEC renewed its lease for 2,420 square feet at The Arboretum and is planning significant renovations at its golf instruction facility, which features indoor hitting areas and golf simulation technology. The world leader in golf lessons, GolfTEC operates nearly 200 centers worldwide and has a 96 percent success rate among its students.

- Le Coiffure Hair Studio signed a lease for 1,571 square feet. Michael Deaton of Deaton Investment Real Estate represented the tenant.

- Dream Home Design, a kitchen and bathroom remodeling company that serves the Triangle area, has signed a lease for 1,272 square feet for a sales center and showroom.

With the recent signings, the retail space at The Arboretum is almost fully leased. The center has two spaces totaling approximately 3,800 square feet available. “With its visibility and proximity to major employers, the Arboretum at Weston continues to be one of Cary’s most vibrant retail destinations, and we’re excited about what these new and existing tenants bring to the mix,” said Mikels.
 

Lincoln Harris Brokers Four Office Leases in Raleigh

Lincoln Harris’ Raleigh office has secured office four leases totaling 7,215 square feet throughout the city of Raleigh. Additional information is below:

- Universal Protection Services signed a 3,478-square-foot lease at 4700 Falls of Neuse Road, a 174,000-square-foot building. Kaler Walker of Lincoln Harris represented the tenant in the transaction, and Eric Forshee and JD McNeill represented the landlord, US REIF 4700 Falls North Carolina, LLC.

- Eva Ferrell, Karen DeVane, Carolyn Lee and Natalie Corral, a set of doctors and therapists, signed a 1,087-square-foot lease renewal at Sunset Ridge II. The 31,332-square-foot building is located at 3921 Sunset Ridge Road. Walker represented the landlord, Velocis Sunset LP, in the transaction, and Janet Clayton of Avison Young represented the tenant.

- Playmaker CRM signed a new 2,084-square-foot lease at Capital Bank Plaza, a building located at 333 Fayetteville St, for its Raleigh office. Walker represented the tenant in the transaction, and Robin Anders of NAI Carolantic represented the landlord, 333 Ventures LLC. The Nashville, Tennessee-based technology firm currently has five employees, and plans to triple its employees at its new office this year.

- Kobe Steel signed a 566-square-foot lease at the 40,000-square-foot Cypress Building, located at 3117 Poplarwood Court. Walker represented the landlord, Debnam Properties LLC, in the transaction.
 

Lincoln Harris Brokers Three Leases at Cary Park Town Center in Cary, NC

Lincoln Harris’ Raleigh office has brokered three leases totaling more than 7,700 square feet at Cary Park Town Center, located in Cary, North Carolina. Kaler Walker and John Mikels of Lincoln Harris represented the landlord, Cary Park TC, LLC, in the transactions. Additional information is below:

- Amante Pizza signed a 2,694-square-foot renewal.

- Goin’ Postal signed a 1,131-square-foot renewal.

Lincoln Harris Adds Two Office Tenants at 801 Jones Franklin Road in Raleigh

Lincoln Harris’ Raleigh office has arranged two leases at an office building located at 801 Jones Franklin Road in Raleigh, North Carolina. Only one vacant suite remains at the building.

Kaler Walker and John Mikels of Lincoln Harris represented the landlord, True North Management Group, in the transactions. Additional information is below:

- Stantec Inc., an international professional services company in the design and consulting industry, signed a 5,010-square-foot lease expansion to occupy a total of 32,240 square feet. Ryan Lawrence and Caitlyn Kinnaird of JLL represented the tenant. This is the company’s second expansion within the building in 10 months.

- Sunbird Inc., a data center management service company, signed a new 4,512-square-foot lease.

801 Jones Franklin Road is a 69,394-square-foot three-story office building located at the Interchange Plaza Office Park in the heart of the Research Triangle. The remaining vacant suite totals 7,643 square feet, and is move-in ready.

Lincoln Harris Announces Topping Out of Capitol Towers Phase II

Lincoln Harris has announced the topping out of Phase II of Capitol Towers in Charlotte, North Carolina’s affluent SouthPark neighborhood.

Lincoln Harris, along with LS3P, ColeJenest & Stone and Shelco, is working toward a February 2017 delivery of the sister building to the impressive South Tower. The second phase of the project, North Tower, which includes 236,250 square feet of retail and office space, is now approximately 50 percent complete.

Lowes Foods Opens Anchor Store at Morganton Park South

Lowes Foods has opened a 50,000-square-foot anchor store at Morganton Park South, a 71,000-square-foot retail center located at 2482 Morganton Road in Southern Pines, North Carolina.

“The store’s grand opening was a huge success, filled with vendors, promotions and fantastic live music,” said John Mikels of Lincoln Harris’ Raleigh office, the leasing agent for the property. “The store is focusing on stocking its shelves with products from local businesses, which has been very well received by the local community.”

Morganton Park South is part of the 188-acre Morganton Park master-planned community and is the first phase of development, located on the south side of Morganton Road. Chicago Title Insurance Co. Expands, Extends Lease at Centerview I

Chicago Title Insurance Co. has extended and expanded its lease by 2,209 square feet at Centerview I, located at 5540 Centerview Drive in Raleigh. The company now occupies a total of 4,583 square feet. Kaler Walker and John Mikels of Lincoln Harris’ Raleigh office represented the landlord, True North Management Group, in the transaction, and the tenant Gardner Gibson with Davis Moore and Steve Sharpe with Orion Realty Group represented the tenant.

“Within less than a year of occupancy at Centerview I, Chicago Title Insurance Co. already needed to nearly double its space,” Mikels said. “This is indicative of Raleigh’s thriving business environment, and we are glad Chicago Title Insurance Co. has been happy with their space at Centerview I.”

Pure Barre signed a 1,993-square-foot lease to join the lineup of retailers at Morganton Park South, a new 71,000-square-foot grocery-anchored retail center located in Southern Pines, North Carolina. John Mikels of Lincoln Harris represented the landlord, CPGKRE Pinehurst Lowes, LLC, in the transaction, and Amy Watkins of York Properties represented the tenant.

Lincoln Harris Secures Harris Teeter as Anchor at Rea Farms in Charlotte

Lincoln Harris announced today that Harris Teeter has signed a 76,000-square-foot lease to bring a new prototype store to Rea Farms, a 188-acre mixed-use development located in southeast Charlotte on Providence and Ardrey Kell Roads. The store is set to open in February of 2018.

The store will be the first of its kind to open in Charlotte and will anchor the retail space at Rea Farms, 110,000 square feet of which remains available as well as three to four outparcels and a signature restaurant opportunity on the Village Green.   • Shurtape Technologies LLC signed a 1,265-square-foot lease renewal at Two Piedmont Town Center. Caldwell Rose of NAI Southern Real Estate represented the tenant in the transaction.
  • PNC Bank signed a 30,983-square-foot lease renewal and a 9,740-square-foot lease expansion at One Piedmont Town Center. Jubal Early of Lincoln Harris represented the tenant in the transaction.

A modernizing renovation of the lobby  and common areas is underway at Three Morrocroft Centre, a Class A office building conveniently located in Charlotte’s prestigious SouthPark submarket. The colors and finishes will match the recent upgrades at One and Two Morrocroft Centre. Completion is slated for May 2017.
