Lincoln Harris Raleigh Office Brokers Five Leases Totaling 18,477 SF

Lincoln Harris’ Raleigh office has brokered five leases in the North Carolina area totaling 18,477 square feet. The details of the transactions are below:
  • Splurge of Raleigh, a first class gift and home décor shop, signed a new 1,200-square-foot lease at Creedmoor Village Shopping Center, located at 1428 Brogden Woods Drive in Wake Forest. John Mikels represented the landlord, Harris Teeter, in the transaction.  
  • Allied Electronics, a distributor of industrial automation and control products, renewed their 2,063-square-foot lease at Interchange II, located at 801 Jones Franklin Road in Raleigh. Kaler Walker and Mikels represented the landlord, TNREF III West Raleigh, LLC, in the transaction.  
  • Crossroads Business Center, offering executive suites and rentals, signed an 8,614-square-foot lease renewal at 5540 Centerview Drive, located in Raleigh. Walker and Mikels represented the landlord, TNREF III West Raleigh, LLC, in the transaction.
  • Burn Boot Camp, a new rapidly growing, fitness facility for mothers and women, signed a 3,600-square-foot lease at Village Center Shoppes, located at 130 W. Holly Springs Road in Holly Springs. Mikels represented the landlord, Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada, in the transaction, and Jon Bradley and Beverly Keith of Avison Young represented the tenant.
  • Educational Data Systems, Inc. (EDSI), a national workforce development, customized training, and consulting company, signed a 3,000-square-foot lease at Tillery Place, located at 1639 Old Louisburg Road in Raleigh. Jake Plotkin of NAI Carolantic represented the landlord, Paul Tillery Commercial Rentals, in the transaction and Walker represented the tenant.
 

Lincoln Harris Brings Life Time Fitness To Rea Farms Development

Life Time Fitness Inc., a Minnesota-based health and lifestyle company operating 119 centers across the United States and Canada, has plans to open at the Rea Farms development in southeast Charlotte on Providence Road and Ardrey Kell Road.  Betsy McIntyre of Lincoln Harris’ Charlotte office represented the landlord, Rea Farms Development LLC, while Dave Oster, Life Time director of real estate and development, represented Life Time in the transaction.

Life Time, acquired a 24-acre site within the master planned Rea Farms development and will offer a health and fitness experience unique to the area including an indoor/outdoor aquatic center, an indoor/outdoor tennis complex and walking trails, as well as a full service salon and spa and a healthy café.  Life Time expects completion of the Rea Farms destination in Spring of 2017. 

“Rea Farms will be a tight-knit neighborhood, and a total lifestyle destination focused on health and wellness like Life Time will truly complement the vitality of the community. It also matches the goals the Rea family has for the development of the land,” said John W. Harris, CEO and Chairman of Lincoln Harris. “Having Life Time in the development further fosters a healthy lifestyle for those living, working and playing in Rea Farms. There isn’t anything else like this in Charlotte.”

Rea Farms is a master planned mixed-use development project on the site of the former Charlotte Golf Links golf course which was once part of the Rea family farm.  In addition to Life Time, Rea Farms will include office space, a retail shopping center, a school, a multi-family project and single family neighborhood.
 

Lincoln Derr Leases 3,782 SF at Capitol Towers in Charlotte, NC

  Lincoln Harris has arranged a 3,782-square-foot lease for Lincoln Derr at Capitol Towers, located in Charlotte. Campbell Walker of Lincoln Harris represented the landlord, Capitol Towers LLC, in the transaction. Ken Orndorff of Raley Miller Properties represented the tenant.

“Capitol Towers is a perfect fit for law firms like Lincoln Derr who are seeking high-quality space and custom floor plans in one of Charlotte’s hottest submarkets,” Walker said.

“Lincoln Derr is excited to be joining the list of exceptional tenants to occupy Lincoln Harris’ Capitol Towers project,” said Sara Lincoln. “The quality of this building and its amenities, coupled with its location in SouthPark, made our decision to move a no brainer.”

The recently completed Phase I of Capitol Towers includes the 236,250-square-foot South Tower, parking deck and approximately 25,000 square feet of retail space. Phase II broke ground in early 2016.
